The Job holder will be responsible to the Head of Accounts and perform tasks as assigned.
We expect the candidate to be proactive and have a "get it done"
spirit. To be successful, you will have solid solving problem skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Head of Accounts.
- Create and update expense reports
- Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
- Creating Purchase orders and approvals
- Monthly Petty Cash Transactions Reconciliation
- Process reimbursement forms
- Prepare bank deposits
- Enter financial transactions into internal databases
- Give analytical reports via Spreadsheet.
- Maintain digital and physical financial records
- Maintain digital and physical financial records
- Participate in quarterly and annual audits
- Engaged in accounts clerical tasks i.e. filing of receipts and invoices
- Any other task as may be assigned by the Manager
Required Competencies, knowledge and Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
- Familiarity with finance regulations
- Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
- Excellent analytical, organization and problem solving skills.
- Excellent computer skills with full word, excel, ERP and accounting software.
Education and Experience
- 2-3 years post NYSC experience in Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk roles.
- Qualifications in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
